Love Iguehi
Iguehi James is the Founder and Chief Designer of Love Iguehi, an Oakland-based fashion label known for bold, beautifully hand-cut prints from vibrant African Ankara textiles to a curated range of other rich fabrics. A first-generation Nigerian American, Iguehi merges her Oakland roots with her Nigerian heritage to create vibrant, one-of-a-kind pieces; because every item is hand-cut, no two are ever exactly alike.
As the founder of Love Iguehi, she merges bold prints with contemporary silhouettes, encouraging women to embrace vibrant self-expression. What began in 2015 as self-taught sewing has grown into a celebrated, Made-in-America brand carried internationally through loveiguehi.com and select retail partnerships.
Iguehi holds a BA in Sociology and Anthropology from Occidental College and a Master of Public Health from UNC Chapel Hill. A wife, mother of three, and dedicated community advocate, she brings the same warmth and intention to her business as she does to her family and community work.
