Chimere Ingram is the founder and self-taught designer behind BYIDOL, a Los Angeles–based handbag brand. A Brooklyn native, her love of fashion began with her grandmother’s Sunday best and the creative energy of New York’s hip-hop scene. Experimenting with sewing, knitting, and textiles shaped her approach to design, while 20 years in luxury retail—including styling and management roles at John Varvatos, Stella McCartney, Céline, and Paul Smith—refined her eye for craftsmanship and personal expression.

BYIDOL, meaning “Because of You I Dream of Love,” brings these influences together through sculptural leather handbags designed to carry meaning. With thoughtful details and signature silhouettes that lay flat for travel, Chimere creates pieces rooted in individuality, movement, and the belief that luxury is an emotion.
