Inspired by the marriage of cultures within the African diaspora and our founder's personal journey through love, loss, and grief, these timeless pieces exist as footwear-as-art, with sculptural heels and thoughtfully designed uppers serving as canvases for storytelling. vegetable-tanned leather and real wood, produced in small batches, and equipped with plush memory foam insoles to allow for all-day wearability without sacrificing style. 535A Bond is led by veteran footwear designer Tovah Robinson, whose work has been seen on the sidewalks, down the aisle, on the red carpet, at the Met Gala, and on NYFW and Couture runways. She has made it her mission to create space and make beautiful footwear for those who are traditionally underserved in the fashion industry while merging aesthetics, functionality, and modern design.
